Mead Court Civil Engineering & Site Works, Brent, London, UK
Civil Engineering & Utility Infrastructure Works
The Mead Court development was an infill housing project that incorporated a vast amount of civil engineering works, alterations to existing services and new utility connections. To begin with existing ground services including electrical, gas and drainage needed to be disconnected and diverted to facilitate the construction and estate works. As part of phase 2 new service connections were required including electric, gas, water and drainage connection. This required detailed surveying of existing services and agreement with utility suppliers. Civil works included deep retaining structures (gabion baskets) up to 15m in depth, retaining structures for car parking spaces and precast concrete retaining structures to support elevated neighbouring properties. The final phase included the surfacing of access roads and car park.
